In and around

Enjoy a virtual tour of our latest amenity slated to open in Fall 2018:

Gruene Hall

Gruene Hall, was built in 1878 by Henry D. Gruene and is located in the historical town of Gruene, Texas, and bills itself as "the oldest continually run dance hall in Texas." By design, not much has physically changed since the Hall was first built. The 6,000 square foot dance hall with a high pitched tin roof still has the original layout with side flaps for open air dancing, a bar in the front, a small lighted stage in the back and a huge outdoor garden. Advertisement signs from the 1930s and 1940s still hang in the old hall and around the stage.

Comal River

The Comal River is the shortest navigable river in the state of Texas in the United States. Proclaimed the "longest shortest river in the world" by locals, it runs entirely within the city limits of New Braunfels in southeast Comal County. It is a tributary of the Guadalupe River. The Comal begins at Comal Springs in Landa Park and flows 2.5 miles until its junction with the Guadalupe.

Schlitterbahn

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is the original water park resort. Deep in the heart of central Texas, Schlitterbahn grew out of the spring fed river and German heritage of the Hill Country. With an eclectic resort, and two distinct waterpark experiences with 51 attractions over 70 acres, it's easy to see why New Braunfels is Schlitterbahn's flagship location.

Historic Downtown Gruene

Visitors from far and near, love the town of Gruene so much that they keep coming back every chance they get. No matter what your desires are, you are only moments away from shopping, eating, wine tasting, tubing, dancing, and lodging in just about any direction.
